The Year of the Storms: Vermont's Remarkable Experiences in 2011

The Year of the Storms: Vermont's Remarkable Experiences in 2011

2011 will forever be known in Vermont as the Year of the Storms. In winter, snow fell at a near-record rate. In the spring, heavy rainfall drove Lake Champlain to historic levels.

And on Aug. 28, Tropical Storm Irene paid us a visit from which numerous Vermont towns are still recovering. This book features the best photography available of the weather’s impact on our communities and of the brave, determined response of Vermonters in all corners of the state. A portion of the proceeds will benefit restoration of the Island Line Trail.
