The Day, in collaboration with Mystic Seaport, present a hardcover, coffee-table book chronicling the history of the Charles W. Morgan – America’s oldest surviving merchant vessel of a whaling fleet that numbered more than 2,700 vessels.
Built and launched in 1841, the Morgan is now America’s oldest commercial ship still afloat. The book captures the amazing journey through her 80-year whaling career, five-year restoration, launch in 2013, and 38th Voyage in 2014.
A portion of the proceeds will go to support Mystic Seaport.
