Looking Back: 150 Years of Memories and a Pictorial History of Midland County
Everyone loves history, and the Midland Daily News loves to be a primary chronicler of that history. As we celebrate our 150th anniversary of newspaper publishing this year, we could not think of a better way to acknowledge this historic event than by producing a book depicting life through the years in Midland County.
But this book is different than one we produced several years ago. This book takes a look at Midland County in a series of chapters, starting with the early years of the county, the 1800s, and then progressing through the decades right up to the present. Along the way, we pulled out some old photos of life here at the Daily News. We thought it was only fitting, this being our 150th anniversary and all.
